Be patient. It will take several weeks for you to receive the results of your Cicerone certification exam. Your test is graded multiple times in order to ensure fairness and accuracy.
There are five knowledge areas covered by the exam, and they carry different weights in exam scoring.
Keeping and Serving Beer 25%
includes the practical demonstration and an essay question.
Beer Styles 25%
includes an essay question.
Beer Flavor & Evaluation 25%
includes the tasting exam.
Ingredients & Process 15%
includes an essay question.
Beer & Food Pairing 10%
To become a Certified Cicerone, you must score at least 80% overall with at least a 70% score on the tasting exam.
